Reconnecting with Nature in a Playful Manner

Welcome

Trails for Kids, nature’s alternative education is a place for children to escape and reconnect with nature and play. Kids immerse in nature activities which include hiking, wading, observing, mindfulness tools, tracking and the use of a child's imagination and curiosity.

Our Outdoor Classes are based on reconnecting with nature in a playful manner to provide an alternative way of learning for ages 2.5 through third grade. We are a drop off program.

Classes will have a theme, but are led by the children's interest.

Our mission is to provide an inclusive program for children of all socioeconomic backgrounds based on direct nature interactions to encourage their physical and emotional social wellbeing. These experiences will promote and instill tolerance, provide social environmental justice and inspire future land stewards.

Children become more aware of her surroundings

“My child has become more aware of her surroundings (nests, tree types, the taste of food and general knowledge) since joining Outdoor Explorers!

This is the only activity my child goes to without ever complaining. The knowledge is age-appropriate & he always tells me what he learnt that day.”
